Direct TV Apps???

Hi there.
We just switched from Uverse to Direct TV because Direct is about half the price. Sadly though, their app doesn't appear to work with Voice Over. I've seen a couple of other apps that are offered by 3rd party developers for around a dollar or two. Does anyone have any recommendations before I spend $20 trying them all?
Oh, we have the Geni system if that makes a difference.

I also thought direct TV had some things on board to make it accessible?

I'm not sure. I've heard about that too but haven't done a ton of looking. The remote is simple though which is a pleasant change.
